Mizusion Salt Water Lamp

Light from just salt and water!? No, its not magic. It’s SCIENCE!

The Mizuison Lamp – designed by Maxell in Japan (known for their Magnetic Tapes and Long Lasting Dry-Cell Batteries) gets its power from the chemical reaction of salt, water and a long lasting replaceable magnesium anode.

While you may still be in disbelief, know that this lamp really does not need (or have) any batteries. It is because of this that it is a very handy little device to have around.

Filled to the recommended proportions of Sodium Chloride and H20, it will put out 2000 lux of light for up to 80 hours. It I can even use sea water, however with a lower lasting time – not that you’ll run out of sea water if its your closest water & salt source!

Whether it’s to help get through those dark load shedding nights or just to take with on a camping or fishing trip (imagine how ridiculously useful it would be out out at sea) this is the lantern we all need to have at least one of.

We are working hard with most of the big South African outdoor equipment retailers to make the Mizusion available as soon as possible. If you can’t wait to get your hands on it: Buy it from us now (free shipping in South Africa country wide for order over R500).
